8 Factors That Will Contribute To the Success of Your Blog

Starting your blog is one thing and making it successful is another. There is totally no shortcut when it comes to blogging, your input is equivalent to your output.

Don’t get me wrong though, I simply mean you need to work hard and not expect quick returns in the shortest time because that’s not how it works.

My blog took over 6 months before I could actually monetize it, so you see you really need a spirit of patience when it comes to this venture.

However, there are factors that also contribute towards the success of your blogging career.

Consider the following:

1. Good Design that’s fully responsive

People love visiting blogs that are appealing and very user-friendly. Blogs that are static have high bounce rates and because of their poor quality, they fail to attract people.

Designing for mobile phones should be your first priority with tablets and desktops next.  80% of people today access websites/blogs via their smartphones

So whenever you want to establish a blog, put responsiveness of your blog as a priority.

2. Content that adds value to your audience

Always create high-quality content with the intention of educating your blog readers. Content that adds value to people is very much likable and people will be hoping for more content like that all the time.

Take time to plan and research thoroughly before publishing your content. Also, ensure that you have vast knowledge in the niche you have chosen to blog about.

3. Updating your blog consistently

Regularly update your blog to keep your blog readers engaged. Posting 2-4 posts per week is highly recommended.

People don’t enjoy dead blogs that resurrects once in a month with a single post.

4. Promoting your blog on Social Media

If you’re a social media freak, you must be loving this already. Create a Facebook page for your blog, a Twitter, Pinterest, and Instagram account to serve as platforms where you can gather blog followers.

You can also promote your blog posts on Facebook groups, WhatsApp and Instagram but do not spam

Remember that if you don’t promote your blog, it will always remain stagnant.

5. Engaging Search Engine Optimization(SEO)

Always make it a point to create content for your blog readers first then for SEO. Include all the relevant keywords to allow your blog to appear in search results whenever relevant searches are performed.

Search Engine optimization plugins like yoast SEO can do a great deal here.

6. Interacting with your blog visitors through comments

It’s not a must to always reply to every comment on your blog. It can be very tiresome. However, when you find a convenient time, always go through the comments section and reply to those comments.

This will let your blog visitors know that you care and you will get a bunch of suggestions from them.

7. Educating yourself on blogging and exploring new trends

It’s very essential to educate yourself on blogging because the trends change from time to time. In order to stay ahead, you have to constantly research and stay ahead of your game.

If you’re less informed about blogging, you may end up misleading people and people will realize and stop visiting your blog.
